Victorian Man Crushed To Death In Milk Factory Accident
Two workers were loading equipment at a former Victorian milk processing plant yesterday when the machinery fell on them, leaving one of the men dead and another fighting for life.
The 59-year-old man from Kialla died at the scene at around 11am on Wednesday after being crushed by the heavy machinery.
The second man was critically injured when the machinery fell on top of them.
Both men are believed to have been loading the equipment into a shipping container when the incident occurred at the plant in Leitchville, near Echuca.
"It is believed machinery fell on two men at the site," said Victoria Police in a statement.
WorkSafe Victoria is currently investigating the accident.
