This Lucky Melbourne Suburb Is Getting A MASSIVE New Market

Wyndham Council has approved a massive fresh food market in Point Cook.

The Starr Point Market in Point Cook will boast a massive 93 stalls selling a mix of locally grown produce, meats, homewares and clothes.

The approval comes after a much more ambitious earlier proposal was knocked back due to "unreasonable traffic demands".

Entry to the market will be from Saltwater Promenade or Point Cook Homestead Rd.

“We are not persuaded that … there will be unreasonable or unmanageable impacts on the surrounding road network,” the tribunal stated.

“This is an area where main roads are being upgraded in response to increased traffic volumes from new and proposed developments and the traffic from the market can be accommodated onto that network.”
