Bad News For Customers On One Melbourne Metro Line
Frankston line trains are about to have two minutes added to EVERY trip under a new timetable that was unveiled by the State Government on Friday.
Minister for Public Transport Jacinta Allan announced 30 new Metro train services will be available for customers in Melbourne’s Northern and Western suburbs.
The new timetables will start on August 27 and it is expected to create room for another 27,000 passengers.
The extra services will be available on the Craigieburn, Sunbury and Werribee lines.
Passengers on the Frankston line will be slugged with a two-minute delay, or just extra time we guess, every day as the new Southland station opens.
Other changes in the new timetable include:
— The extension of 37 daily Altona Loop services that currently stop at Newport.
— More peak services for passengers in Rosanna, Macleod, Watsonia, Greensborough, Montmorency and Eltham.
