The Hunt Is On For Two Hit And Run Drivers In Melbourne
A driver who hit a motorcyclist and fled the scene remains on the run in the second life-threatening hit-run crash in Melbourne in four days.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital in a critical condition after being hit at the intersection of Glenburnie Road and Orient Avenue in Mitcham, about 4.15pm on Wednesday.
The BMW involved drove away and was eventually found on the East Link near George Street at Scoresby.
Police believe the people in the car then burgled a home in Haideh Place, Scoresby, and stole a white Toyota sedan.
Major collision investigators were still at the Mitcham scene late into Wednesday night.
On Sunday, a BMW hit a 13-year-old girl who is in an induced coma at the Royal Children's Hospital.
Police are hunting for a woman aged in her early 30s, of Asian appearance with shoulder-length dark hair after they found a grey BMW in a laneway in Braybrook on Tuesday.
