Suspected Human Remains Found At Anglesea Beach
Police are today continuing to forensically test human remains, suspected to be that of a woman, found on Victoria's surf coast yesterday.
A woman was walking her dog along O'Donohue Beach near Point Roadknight when she discovered the remains at about midday.
"The remains will need to be examined by a pathologist to establish the identity of the person and cause of death," police have said in a statement.
This discovery comes just 11 days after 43-year-old Melbourne mum Elisa Curry disappeared from her holiday home at Aireys Inlet, just 7km away from where the remains were found.
However, police have not yet confirmed if the remains have any connection to Ms Curry's disappearance.
Emergency services conducted an extensive week long search for the missing mother of land, water and from the air, but the search was called off after no discoveries were made.
Ms Curry is an avid runner and is known to run long distances, however, her Fitbit has not been used since her disappearance.
Anyone with any information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
