Record Temperatures This Week Could Mean Blackouts
A record heatwave could see Victoria enter the danger zone for blackouts, as power plant failures continue.
The state is looking set to break a 150 year old temperature record for November, if the weather continues to be consistantly over 28 degrees for 7 days in a row.
A warning has been issued from the Australian Energy market operator about the lack of standby power reserves.
The temperatures are forecast for around 33 degrees both today and tomorrow, so no doubt Victorians will be using fans and air conditioners to stay cool.
