Night Grand Prix In Melbourne Is NO GO
Victorians have slammed the brakes on the idea of the Australian Grand Prix being moved to a later slot under lights in Melbourne.
A national survey has found that almost a quarter of Australians are against the idea of a night time race, with just one in five supporting the move.
The night race is supported by Formula One's overseas management as it means it falls at a better broadcast time for international markets.
It has been undone by Victorians though who are largely undecided on the move but that hasn't stopped Aussie F1 chief John Harden saying ''there's always debate about a night race but we are not having one''.
So, it seems a done deal, it's staying in the sunshine in March, which lets face it, is our last taste of summer!
