Melbourne's Roads Are A Nightmare This Morning
Melbourne's roads are struggling this morning as we deal with the first major rainfall of the year.
There has been a crash on the Eastern Freeway, blocking the inbound lane near Tram Road. Delays are already back to Springvale Road.
On the Princes Freeway, a truck has dropped a load of potatoes across the freeway between the Maltby Bypass and Wests Road. Crews are on site cleaning it all up.
Spring Street is now closed due to a truck protest over the Heywood timber mill closure. It is closed between Nicholson Street, East Melbourne to Collins Street.
There also major delays on the Williamstown and Upfield train lines, with the Flinders Street to Williamstown service being cancelled due to a train fault.
The 7.23am Flinders Street to Upfield service has also been cancelled.
There also ten-minute delays on the Werribee line due to an earlier train fault at North Melbourne.
