Melbourne Woman's Mistake Nearly Lost Her $500k!
A Victorian woman was convinced she'd checked her lottery numbers and missed the jackpot, but it turns out she'd misread the ticket and was in line for half a million dollars.
The Mornington Peninsula retiree, aged in her 60s, got a call from a Tatts official on Monday to confirm she had won $574,330.
"I checked my ticket on the internet yesterday. I was just one number off getting division one - I was spewing," she said.
The official managed to convince her of her win.
"I checked that ticket, but must have only checked the top lines," she said.
"They're family birthdates and some of them are numbers my mother-in-law used to use. So they're very much family numbers."
The woman was one of seven division-one winners in Saturday night's draw.
