Teen's Horror Deadly Crash Possibly Linked To Street Racing

A 17-year-old girl has died after tragic crash in Melbourne's east on Sunday. 

Witnesses report seeing two vehicles drag racing through traffic while travelling north on Stud Road in Rowville at around midday yesterday.

The cars were then seen "dragging each other" before the three-car collision ripped one of the cars in half.

Friends and family of the Narre Warren girl who passed away were quickly on the scene where they discovered the horror scene.  

One man was arrested and six people were sent to hospital with bruisings and abrasions. 

Police have not yet stated the exact cause of the crash, but speed is believed to have been a factor.
