Not for me, thanks. Safety first, obvs. But gee, there must be a better plan B for when this stuff happens. pic.twitter.com/dpx5hcRUD5— Carley (@yello_sub) May 2, 2018
Victoria Police evacuated North Melbourne train station after the suspicious item was found just before 8am on Thursday.
Trains were temporarily halted, causing early-morning headaches for commuters on five train lines.
The device was declared safe at about 9.30am but there will be major train delays throughout the morning.
Twenty-minute delays will be experienced on the Craigieburn, Sunbury, Upfield, Werribee and Williamstown lines, a Metro Trains spokesman said.
All other metropolitan train lines will also be affected by delays of up to 10 minutes as many trains and drivers are out of position.
