Melbourne Man Saved After Getting Trapped In Newly Dug Grave

A man has been freed after falling into a partially dug grave in Melbourne's north-east.

Emergency crews were called to the Eltham Cemetery just before 8am, following reports that a male in his 40s had fallen into the two-metre-deep hole. It is believed he became trapped at around 7:45am.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman revealed that the man sustained injuries to his leg but is in a stable condition at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.

It reportedly took over two hours to free the man.
