Melbourne Factories Damaged In Overnight Blaze

It's taken 50 firefighters almost two hours to bring a factory fire under control in Melbourne's southwest.

MFB and CFA crews battled the Hoppers Crossing blaze in the early hours of Thursday morning but had to withdraw and fight the flames from outside over fears the concrete walls were in danger of collapsing.

Fire investigators are yet to determine the cause of the fire which involved four connected factories under one roof.
