Heading Home In Melbourne? Your Train Line's Probably CLOSED
A trespasser at Southern Cross station has caused gridlock on Melbourne's train network this afternoon.
Services on more than seven train lines were stopped as police moved the man on at 2:30PM.
Cranbourne, Packenham, Frankston and Sandringham line services are operating from Flinders Street and will not go via the City Loop.
Upfield, Werribee, Williamstown and Craigieburn lines are also affected.
Metro said it had to power down the overhead wires for safety reasons which means no trains can run through the loop.
Platform 12 at Southern Cross is currently closed.
Major delays are expected.
