Aussie Couple Busted On The Back Seat Of A Bus
A NSW couple allegedly caught having sex in the back seat of a bus during a Friday morning commute have been charged.
Ryan Jones, 23, allegedly became enraged and spat in the face of the driver who busted him and his 31-year-old girlfriend getting busy as the bus travelling towards Warners Bay in the Lake Macquarie region about 10am on March 29.
The Windale man also made threats to punch the driver before leaving, police say.
Detectives allege the couple then tried to board another bus but the driver had been warned about their antics and refused to take them as passengers.
Jones then allegedly tried to rip the windscreen wipers off that second bus before the pair fled.
The 23-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday and charged with five offences including property damage, intimidation and travelling without a valid ticket.
Newcastle Local Court magistrate Robert Stone on Wednesday referred him to Hunter Drug Court in Toronto where he's scheduled to appear on Monday.
Court documents did not state if he was released from custody.
To be eligible for the drug court program, a person must be pleading guilty, have an illicit drug dependency and be highly likely to be jailed.
The man's partner, also from Windale, is due to face Toronto Local Court on May 14 charged with offensive conduct and inciting the commission of crimes.
