Accused Murderer To Face Melbourne Court
An alleged gunman accused of shooting two brothers and killing one of them is due to appear in a Melbourne court on Monday.
Ahmed El-Chakik is charged with murdering Edmund Shabani and the attempted murder of his brother Elvis Shabani, who were shot outside a Ravenhall car shop in October.
A three-day committal hearing will determine if there is sufficient evidence to commit El-Chakik to trial.
Melbourne Magistrates Court was previously told CCTV footage was "critical" in the case, and a recording of the alleged incident would be played during the hearing.
El-Chakik is said to suffer anxiety, diabetes, chest pains and bruising.
He allegedly previously claimed he was "set upon" by the two men and injured.
