Woman Found Stabbed To Death In Her Melbourne Home
Investigations are underway after a woman was found dead in a Richmond house on Tuesday afternoon.
Police responded to reports of a woman’s body being found in the Westbank Tce house at 4 PM.
Sergeant Kim Bramwell said the circumstances of how she died had not been determined but investigators were treating it as suspicious.
Police confirmed a 49-year-old woman died after suffering “significant injuries”.
The Herald Sun is reporting that the alarm was raised after the victim’s boyfriend visited the property. He sensed something was wrong and called for help from a neighbour.
When the pair entered the kitchen of the Richmond property they found the woman’s body on the floor in a pool of blood.
It is believed the woman had received serious knife wounds to her neck.
A man, believed to have known the victim, required medical assistance after arriving at the scene.
