300K+ Australians Hit By Facebook Data Leak

More than 300,000 Australians may have had their personal information accessed by political consultancy agency Cambridge Analytica, Facebook has revealed.

The social media website has admitted up to 87 million users from around the world may have been affected by the data-mining scandal, up from a previous estimate of more than 50 million.

Australia rounds out the top 10 countries affected, with 311,127 users unknowingly having their data shared with Cambridge Analytica, which worked on Donald Trump's 2016 campaign for US president.
