15-Year-Old Girl Hit By Van In Melbourne
A teenage girl has been hit by a van yesterday afternoon at Clifton Hill and is now recovering in hospital in a critical condition.
Yarra Highway Patrol members are now investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Police were told that the 15-year-old girl got on a bus at Clifton Hill Railway Station before getting off with friends at the intersection of Noone Street and Hoddle Street at around 3pm.
It is believed that the girl stepped out onto Hoddle Street when she was struck by a southbound white Toyota Hiace van.
The 37-year-old male driver of the van immediately stopped to help the girl who was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Police want to speak with anyone who was a passenger on the bus immediately prior to the incident or anyone who may have seen what happened.
