Wireless Phone-To-Phone Charging May Soon Be A Thing
If you’re like me and you’re on your phone 24/7, then battery life is probably a real issue for you too, right?
And while we should praise the heavens above for inventing portable phone chargers to get us through those long days and nights without reaching 1% of battery, the actual future of phone charging has arrived.
Researchers are developing technology that will wirelessly transfer power between electronic devices.
According to a new patent Sony filed just last Friday, the company wants you to be able to steal power from a friend’s phone as well, without having to connect a single cable.
All you need is a phone, a friend, and their phone. It’s pretty much like Internet hot spotting, but for batteries.
The new technology will hopefully even extend to other electronic devices such as computers, TVs, fridges, washing machines and microwaves – so basically you will never be in the red again.
Well, it is 2017 after all.
