Point Cook Spend More Money Online Than Anyone Else!
Australians are lapping up online shopping more than ever, and more of it is through online retailers.
New data obtained by Australia Post shows that overseas sales now make up for 40% of all online purchases in Australia, up from 25% five years ago.
Last year, Australian consumers spent $14.7 billion online, which is an increase of 11.5% overall.
Victoria’s Point Cook is the top spending suburb in Australia when it comes to shopping online, ahead of Toowoomba in Queensland, Liverpool in Sydney and Gosford on the NSW Central Coast.
Also on the list in Victoria is Hoppers Crossing, which has seen a 17% rise in online shopping in the last year.
