Where To See The BEST Christmas Lights In Melbourne

Every year at the beginning of December, Christmas festivities begin.

In Melbourne, a popular pastime is driving past houses lit up with Christmas Lights and decorations.

This year, we've sourced a list of the BEST Christmas lights to check out... with or without the kids!

The Boulevard, Ivanhoe
This is quite possibly one of the most well known hotspots for Christmas lights every year. Get there early - it's worth the wait! There's usually a coffee cart and when the sun goes down, there's some fantastic city views as a bonus!

Tennyson Avenue, Preston
A trip to Preston should definitely be on your agenda - there's some houses that go really big here. Plus, head to Gordon Grove nearby - number 47 has more than 40,000 lights on show, and they're flashing in time to 97.5FM - wow!

Cherelle Court, St Helena
There's quite a group of houses here in Cherelle and Nimary Courts who are raising funds for The Royal Children's Hospital with their impressive Christmas light display. It's definitely worth the trip!!

Thomson Street, Northcote
These lights are always truly spectacular!

Lebanon Crescent, Mulgrave
Make the trip to Lebanon Crescent and you'll be treated to more than 100,000 lights at number 11. Plus, a short walk to Wattle Grove nearby, and you'll be able to see Christmas lights that have been in the game for more than 30 years!

Hugo Court, Narre Warren
Most houses in Hugo Court get involved with spreading the Christmas cheer here, and it is definitely one not to miss.

Tennis Court, Mornington
These folks always light up every possible Christmas light they can, and we have a feeling this year will not disappoint!

Vialls Avenue, Parkdale
Every year there's more and more houses getting involved and it's one of our favourites. If you're there, it's definitely worth heading to Cedric street to see the house displays there too.

Dalgetty Road, Beaumaris
Head here to number 151, where you can actually stroll through the display. This is impressive!

Crana Court, Hoppers Crossing
This location is one of Melbourne's original Christmas light displays, and it's still going strong. Head to the west and check it out!

Bellbridge Drive, Hoppers Crossing
After you check out Crana Court, don't forget this mecca for light displays. There's something for everyone here!

And of course, don't forget Melbourne Town hall, where the Christmas projections are ALWAYS spectacular.

Have we forgotten any of your favourites?! Let us know now!
