GREAT AUSTRALASIAN BEER SPECTAPULAR, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS GABS, IS BACK AND WE COULDN’T THINK OF A BETTER AND MORE AUSSIE WAY TO SPEND A WEEKEND THAN CELEBRATING (DRINKING) BEER!
Renowned as one of the world’s leading beer festivals, GABS brings together the best breweries from Australia and New Zealand for a whirlwind celebration of craft beer and cider.
The specTAPular event will be taking over to the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne between 17th -19th May over five different sessions.
The HEADline (beer pun, get it?) of the event is the 170 ‘Festival Beers & Ciders’ made especially for GABS each year by Australia and New Zealand’s leading brewers and cidermakers.
After sipping your way through delicious brews, HOP (another pun …) on over to the cooking demonstrations, whisky bars, the giant Ferris wheel or bust out a move to the incredibly popular ‘house band’ The Ale Capones or the Stomping Ground Silent Disco.
After working up an appetite dancing and drinking you’ll no doubt need some food. Cure your ALE-ments with the new Yak Ales BBQ Heaven, featuring an all-star line-up including Bluebonnet BBQ, Biggie Smalls and Leonard’s House of Love. Plus an awesome line up of some of the best local food trucks and vendors in Melbourne will be scattered throughout the venue.
If you’ve got time in between eating and drinking there’s also circus performers, panel discussions with industry leaders and masterclasses where you can learn from some of the best in the business. Or join the Ariston Food & Drink Experience.
It’s going to be KEGSellent (okay we’ll stop with the beer puns now …)
