The Simpsons Has Been Renewed And The Internet Is PISSED
The Simpsons has been renewed for two new seasons, and while we should be stoked, the reaction has been overwhelmingly less-than warm.
The show, which was first broadcast on the Fox network in 1989, made the announcement about the renewal on Twitter on Thursday.
And the replies were mostly negative, mainly that that it'll outlive us all.
It should have ended after the movie or the 20th season. That would have been perfect.— beeg yoshi (ಠ益ಠ) (@rafagonzr) February 6, 2019
it's never going to die is it— Jack 🇮🇪 (@madjackrabbit) February 6, 2019
And yet Futurama was left to die. Multiple times.— Alex Odell (@ajokay85) February 6, 2019
Has it been any good since season 10?

Hopefully time ends very soon.— Bailey Crawly (@BaileyCrawly) February 7, 2019
Why though? I think we all know this has gone on too long. The first nine or ten seasons were excellent, but now it's been bad for longer than it's been good.— Doctor Who (@DrWhoTimenspace) February 7, 2019
@AnEnzmann This is what happens when you run a concept into the ground and when you don’t improve your comedic timing. At least it gives voice actors that need to build up their resumes work to do.🤷♂️ pic.twitter.com/sRWJ74siut— 𝘽𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮🍓 (@berryischillin) February 7, 2019
I love The Simpsons, but the spark faded long long ago. No one wants their favorite show to end, but if it ends while it was still good it's remembered that way. The Simpsons will be remembered for a show that went on too long I'm afraid. I still watch, but I dont laugh much pic.twitter.com/vDGWQANn0e— Justin Jolly (@z00ropa) February 6, 2019
