What This Woman Did To Get Her Facebook Account Back Is Crazy

A woman has legally changed her name to get her Facebook account back.

Formerly known as Jemma Rogers, the now Jemmaroid Von Laalaa set up her Facebook using this pseudonym because she wanted to avoid unwanted friend requests...

But last month, Facebook asked her to prove her identity, and the 30-year-old panicked and photoshopped an image of her bank card, which the social media giant obviously didn't fall for.

She was since locked out of her account, and tried to email Facebook to explain.

They weren't having it.

"I know I’ve been a complete (sic) moron, but Facebook are being ridiculous. I’ve been locked out of my account for five weeks now and have lost all of my photos, messages and precious memories," Jemmaroid said.

"What if an abuse victim wants to have Facebook but doesn’t want people to find her? Facebook has too much power – it’s scary."

Since her story broke, Facebook has reactivated her account stating it was a misunderstanding.

"Facebook asks people to use their authentic names, as we believe this makes people more accountable for what they say," a spokesman told Metro.

"In this instance we made a mistake. We apologise for any inconvenience that this caused."
