The Latest Baby Name Trend Of 2015
Experts at the BabyCenter have released their mid-year analysis of the most popular baby names, and this year the trend is gender-neutral!
“Millennials are an open-minded and accepting group, and they don’t want their children to feel pressured to conform to stereotypes that might be restrictive," BabyCenter’s Global Editor in Chief Linda Murray.
"Just as companies have started making more neutral kids’ clothes, and taking ‘boy’ and ‘girl’ labels off toys, an increasing number of parents are choosing unisex names.”
Currently, names like Amari, Karter, Phoenix, Quinn and Reese are growing in popularity as names for boys or girls.
Celebs have been taking on this trend as well with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynold's daughter James and Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard's daughter Lincoln.
And if these celeb trends are indicative of overall trends, then it looks like new parents are willing to give their girls more traditionally "boy" names.
