Game-Changing Phone Promises You’ll NEVER Run Out Of Storage

Most of us would understand the problem of having low smartphone storage. In this day and age it's a real problem.

But how do you deal with it? Delete most of your photos and videos? Delete your favourite songs or games? Upgrade to a bigger, more expensive phone?

Well, soon you won't have to. The future is now, with a new company promising to revolutionise it.

A startup called Nextbit have released a new smartphone called Robin after a Kickstarter campaign.

Think I found a Robin's nest... #nextbit #nextnow #dbrand #win

The campaign raised more than their goal of $500,000 to raise $1.3 million.

The phone is finally on sale in the U.S. and hopefully coming to Australia soon!

The idea behind the phone is that instead of using up all of your local storage, the phone uploads apps to a 100gb cloud, and the phone works to move things to and from the cloud as you need them.

With 32gb of local storage on the phone, you can keep your most used apps in your local storage and other, less-used apps in the cloud.

Everyone’s had their #phone run out of storage before and it’s frustrating as hell trying to figure out what to delete. #Nextbit thinks it’s solved that problem with its $349 ‘cloud-first’ smartphone that makes sure you never run out of space. The phone is unique because it automatically adapts to how you use it, removing apps and infrequently accessed data to the cloud so it doesn’t take up local space. Inside is a Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB of storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixels on the front. It’s also got NFC, a fingerprint sensor and Bluetooth 4.0 LE. The phone has already raised more than $900k funding on @Kickstarter with 19 days to go. [by @findingnewo #TheNextWeb]

The one criticism is that the phone could drain a fair chunk of your data, but whenever you're connected to wifi it automatically backs up your data.

The phone is currently on sale in the U.S. at $399.
