'Foot Odour' Forces Plane To Make Emergency Landing
Foot pong can be pretty mortifying, especially when it grounds an entire plane, amirite?
That was the case for a flight from New York to Florida which made an emergency landing after what passengers described as a “dirty sock” or “foot odour” smell.
The stench was so bad some passengers complained of a burning in their chests and throats.
All 220 passengers were made to get off the plane – between 7 and 10 of whom were taken to hospital.
Crews in full Hazmat searched for the source of the stank but they were unable to pinpoint it. Maybe it walked off the plane when it landed, who knows.
Spirit Airlines says they are still investigating.
