The biggest Aussie acts of the past three decades came together for one concert spectacular on the weekend, rocking the roof off St Kilda’s Palais Theatre as PURE GOLD LIVE returned to Melbourne.

GOLD104.3’s Gavin Miller and Craig Huggins, hosted a night crammed full of performances from some of Australia’s biggest music legends playing their greatest and well-loved hits.

Featuring Uncanny X-Men, Pseudo Echo, Kids in the Kitchen, Hush, Wendy Matthews, Chocolate Starfish, Eurogliders, Billy Miller, Deborah Conway, Joe Dolce, Paul Norton, The Chantoozies, Sean Kelly of The Models, Stars, Stephen Cummings and Real Life, the acts had the 3,000 strong crowd on their feet singing and dancing for almost 4 hours!

Highlighting the night was a rare performance by Hush, who re-united on stage for the first time in eight years.

Chocolate Starfish front-man Adam Thompson also had the crowd dancing in the aisles with Mountain and You’re So Vain before jumping down into the crowd himself, while Pseudo Echo had the crowd in the palm of their hands with an extended version of Funky Town.

A special tribute to INXS was the surprise of the evening, closing it out with a massive all-star encore. Deborah Conway took the lead on Never Tear Us Apart, Adam Thompson belted out New Sensation before an all-star ensemble of Brian Mannix, Scott Carne, Sean Kelly and The Chantoozies ended the night on a huge high with Don’t Change.

Check out all the footage, photos, plus Huggy’s one on one interview with Brian Canham of Pseudo Echo backstage!
