Angus Young Joins Guns N Roses At Coachella
Following the announcement that Axl Rose will step in for Brian Johnson as frontman on AC/DC's tour, the singer demonstrated what he can do with the band's material during Guns N' Roses' performance at the Coachella music festival in California on Saturday night.
Axl, who has a broken foot, was sitting in the throne lent to him by Dave Grohl. He told the crowd, "I do feel bad about sitting here on my ass," but added that he had someone to liven things up. With that, Angus - in his full schoolboy uniform -- came out to lead the band through AC/DC's "Whole Lotta Rosie" and "Riff Raff."
Axl will team up with AC/DC for European dates in May and June and then again this year, to make up postponed U.S. dates.
This was the second year in a row that Angus rocked Coachella - AC/DC launched their Rock or Bust tour there last year.
