YouTuber Austin Jones Faces 20 Years Prison For Child Porn

Former YouTube star and singer Austin Jones has pleaded guilty to pressuring six underage female fans to send him sexually explicit videos.

26-year-old Austin Jones pleaded guilty to one count of child pornography, and reportedly faces five to 20 years in federal prison.

U.S. District Judge John Lee permitted Jones to remain free on bail as he seeks psychiatric help. Jones has allegedly only recently begun dealing with "traumatic events" in his life.

In a 27-page plea agreement, the Illinois male admitted to having online conversations with six girls aged between 14 and 15 from 2010 to 2017. He allegedly encouraged the girls to send him sexually explicit videos of themselves.

In court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the ex-YouTube star told one victim, "You need an intro to the video. At the beginning, get super close and say these lines: Hey Austin, it's [name] and this butt is [age] years old and then make it clap for 30 seconds. Got it?"

In another instance, Jones demanded an underage female fan to prove they were his biggest fan. "I know you can do it. How amazing that would be for you! To have your favourite singer spanking your a**! If you're lucky, maybe I'd let you suck my d**k."

In a 2015 video, he acknowledged asking fans to send him videos of themselves twerking, but maintains that "there were never any nudes [and] never any physical contact."

During the height of his popularity, the 26-year-old had more than 500,000 YouTube subscribers and over 20 million video views. He was known in the YouTube community for his a cappella videos of alternate pop song covers.

Austin Jones will be sentenced on May 1st.
