Channel Nine Confirm Aussie Version of Love Island
We genuinely haven't been this excited about new television since Sophie Monk was revealed as the Bachelorette.
But last night Channel Nine made all of our dreams come true with the announcement that they're making an Australian version of the highly popular reality series Love Island, which took the UK by storm earlier this year.
Love Island Australia, will see sexy young singles on the lookout for romance, jetting off to a summer paradise to find love. #9Upfront— Channel 9 (@Channel9) October 11, 2017
It's like a beautiful combination of all of your favourite shows: a little bit of Bachelor mixed with a smidge of Big Brother and just a dash of Geordie Shore.
Basically a whole heap of super hot singles - male and female - are taken to an island/ paradise and forced to couple up.
As you can imagine there's plenty of swapping in and out, even more break-ups and plenty of tears with the aim of the game to be the last couple standing by the end.
If you end up alone, you're booted out. Savage.
And YOU can be a part of it all! Casting for the show has already opened so if you're aged between 18 and 35 and are "warm, honest, open and looking for love", it's time to put your name down.
If you don't make the cut though, never fear. This is going to be THE show of the year and you're going to be glued to your television.
Bring. It. On.
