Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar Set To Welcome Their 20th Child

Apparently 19 kids just aren’t enough for the Duggars!

According to InTouch Weekly, the reality TV family are set to welcome the twentieth addition to their family, with the couple reportedly taking in the eight-year-old son of Michelle’s niece Rachel Hutchins, who is “unemployed and homeless”.

Hutchins is believed to have given birth to the child as an unmarried teenager, and originally gave up custody of her son in August last year, allowing her mother Carolyn to take over the boy's care.

Less than eight months later Hutchins was arrested for breaking and entering, and the Duggars were forced to step in when Carolyn suffered a stroke and could no longer look after the child.

Even though the religious family have been granted temporary custody, though, their plans to formally adopt the child may yet hit a roadblock; the scheduled hearing is due to take place eighteen months after the news broke that their eldest son, Josh, had molested four of his underage sisters.

"There's a strong hope that once [the hearing] happens they will be able to adopt him," a source told the publication.

"They didn't have to think long about coming to the boy's rescue.

"Helping this little angel was an answer to their prayers."

The same insider also admitted that last year's explosive sexual abuse revelations weren't worrying the Duggars.

"They believe there should be no problems at the November hearing," they continued.

"Yes, many people were sickened by the way they covered up how Josh was a child molester, but Josh no longer lives in the house and the Duggars are certain their home is a safe environment for a child."

The news of the Duggar-to-be comes just weeks after Jessa Duggar and husband Ben Seewald announced their second pregnancy - nine months after giving birth to little Spurgeon.

What a complicated family tree!
