Big Brother Slammed For Airing Bowie’s Ex-Wife’s Tears
On Monday afternoon, the world was rocked by the passing of legendary singer, David Bowie.
Tributes soon flooded the internet, with people expressing their sadness over the passing of a man who had forever changed their lives.
However, no reaction has been more publicised than that of Bowie’s ex-wife, Angie Bowie.
She is currently starring on UK’s Celebrity Big Brother, and was inside the house when the news broke of his passing.
Normally, people inside the house aren’t allowed to know outside news, but an exception is made for family.
Angie was married to the singer from 1970 to 1980 and was filmed just moments after she was told that her ex-husband had died at the age of 69 after an 18-month battle with cancer.
"I haven't seen him in so many years I can't make a big drama about it but I feel an era has ended," Angie Bowie said in the diary room of the house.
"I'm so very sad."
Angie has chosen to stay inside the house after learning the news, as she had said previously that she had not spoken to her former husband in decades.
Viewers immediately voiced their disgust over the show’s decision to air Angie’s grief for “entertainment”.
