Actress Beth Howland Died New Year's Eve Of Cancer
Actress Beth Howland passed away on New Year's Eve aged 74 it has been confirmed.
Best known for her role on long running show 'Alice', Howland played the role of Very the waitress, who won over audiences with her ditzy and clumsy character.
No death notice or funeral took place, at her request.
The late actress' husband, Charles Kimbrough (Jim Dial on Murphy Brown) confirmed that Beth passed away in California on New Year's Eve.
Howland appeared on a number of well-loved TV shows in the 1970s, '80s and 90s including The Love Boat, Murder, She Wrote, the Mary Tyler Moore show and Little House On The Prairie.
She also made a name for herself on Broadway.
She is survived by her husband and her daughter Holly from a previous marriage.
